I'm looking for a new signature of sorts, and came up with the idea of using a single tengwa as my signature. I just can't hear the difference between some of the tengwar, or even know what sound my name starts with to match it with the sound of the tengwar....

guthwine-anduril:
All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shall be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king

I definitely agree about the improved nature of Tengwar Quenyanna & Tengwar Sindarinwa (as they are originals) over all those other Tengwar Modes.
But how can one use English Mode to write a sentence in German, if German phonetics is NOT like English Mode. To say that English Mode is actually a Non-elvish language Mode is assuming all human languages share the SAME...

You are beautiful
I am yours to command
Ok, good, but which language is that? Quenya or Sindarin?

some names are spelled differently than they are in the Silmarillion. Probably both of the versions are correct because of the elvish grammar variations and everything, but this kinda disturbs me sometimes
Maedhros or Maidros?
Why is this so?
Easy!
Tolkien changed spelling all the time. This happened so much. Words changed their forms and “evolved” until he had a...
